Palm Beach County Disparity Study

About:

The Palm Beach County Disparity Study evaluated government procurement and contracting practices to:
– Identify best practices that will help the County to build business programs to stimulate economic growth of local businesses
– Increase participation of Minority and Woman-owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) in County contracts

The study has determined that a statistical disparity does in fact exists in the award of PBC’s contracts to ready, willing, and able market area M/WBEs. Based on the findings, the Chamber is advocating that the County make changes to its contracting processes in order to increase the number of M/WBE bidders and awards to M/WBEs.  Get in the know by reading the links below and attending upcoming meetings.
